Re-application of rejected project applications
To facilitate the registration of real estate projects for the promotion of the sector, U.P.
RERA allows the promoter to once re-apply for registration of such projects the
registration application whereof have been rejected by it. The re-application is permitted
through an online form accessible from the ‘Re-Apply for Project (Already Rejected)’ link
on the promoter’s dashboard.
Such re-applications are to be submitted online within 3 months from the date of
rejection of earlier application without paying the registration fee again. The image listed
below is a representation of the promoter dashboard.
Extension of registration of project
Section 6 of the RERA Act provides for the grant extension of registration of real estate
project on receiving such application from the promoter. U.P. RERA has thus enabled
this arrangement on its web portal, where a promoter can apply for extension of
registration of its registered project. The online application has necessary checks to
ensure that the project meets the conditions of extension as provided under the Act
and the Rules.
The promoter is required to mention the grounds on which extension of registration is
being requested, which is to be validated by the timelines provided in the form. The
promoter is also required to submit details of the compliances such as the project
account details, the quarterly compliance reports and the annual audit reports.
Since the extension functionality was provided on the web portal, U.P. RERA has
received 223 extension requests, out of which in 134 cases the extension has been
granted.
