Registration of real estate project with U.P. RERA

The registered promoter can log into the web portal as a user (promoter) under the login
section and register a new project from their login dashboard using the ‘Create New
Project’ option.

The promoter needs to provide the details required using the online form for registration
of real estate projects on the web-portal as mandated by the section 4 (2) of the Act read
with rule 3 of the UP RERA Rules, 2016. The details relating to the project are to be filled
under the different heads as shown below:

On submission of the required details, the promoter is required to pay registration fee as
mentioned in the U.P. RERA Rules through the online payment gateway. Once the
application is submitted, a temporary project Id is assigned to the promoter. The
Authority scrutinizes the project application, and if required seeks further clarification
from the promoter online, also offering opportunity of personal hearing, before deciding
on the registration of the project. Once the registration of the project is approved, the
Authority issues a project registration certificate with a unique project registration

Registration of real estate agents

Section – 9 of the RERA Act mandates a real estate agent to register itself as an agent with
the Authority in order to facilitate the sale or purchase or act on behalf of any person to
facilitate the sale or purchase of any plot, apartment or building, as the case may be, in a
real estate project or part of it registered with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority.

U.P. RERA enabled online registration of real estate agents. Accordingly, an agent has to
submit the details such as the registration type (Individual / Company / Proprietorship
Firm / Partnership Firm), the bank account details and identification proofs.

The fee for registration, as prescribed in U.P. RERA Rules, is to be paid online and a unique
agent registration number is allotted. The promoters can then link the registered agents
with their registered projects.
